Simple Graphical Prediction of Relative Permeability of Unsaturated Soils under Deformations

At present, there are only a few existing models that can be used to predict the relative permeability of unsaturated soil under deformations, and calculation process is relatively complex. In order fit measured value coefficient before deformation, this work employs simplified unified model soil, it obtains index λ deformation soil. addition, remains unchanged after deformation. Based on actual soil–water characteristic curve air-entry prediction with different initial void ratios. The then conveniently predicted using graphical method in combination model. validated by test data silt loam, sandy unconsoildated sand. results show consistent values. paper simple overcomes limitations associated determination λ. It expands application range while improving accuracy predictions.
